Rivka Zlatkin - Womens Wellness and Childbirth Support
I support women with fertility issues on their journey to pregnancy and also offer support for expecting mums to ease them through pregnancy and prepare them for birth and also support them throughout their birth. I also offer post natal treatments for rehab I facilitate this through sobada ( abdominal massage), reflexology, yoga therapy for women, yoga for pregnancy, birth and rehab, guided imagery, breathwork and aromatherapy
I started out as a Swedish Massage therapist in London and after moving to Israel qualified In advanced reflexology to help my own children. I also qualified in aromatherapy as I saw the beneficial, calming and healing effects it had on my myself. When my oldest daughter became pregnant and my children were already bigger, I fulfilled a long-held dream to qualify as a birth doula to support her during her birth and then of course my other birth clients too. Having practiced Yoga for Women that focusses a on the pelvic floor area, I decided to qualify as yoga for pregnancy/birth/post-partum teacher, and a yoga for women therapist And just recently also qualified as a Sobada (abdominal massage) therapist. All my treatments or tools are based on my strong belief that my client should play an active part in her journey to pregnancy/birth/recuperation. My aim is to teach her tools to help and also to educate her about her body, her rights as a patient in the medical system and to give her the option to choose, the method she feels comfortable with!
Growing up, I was very scared of giving birth as my mother had such painful birth with me. My own births were not easy either and so I wanted to qualify as a birth doula to help other birthing mums experience a smoother, gentler birth as I learnt how important this is for the baby and the mother in their future life. Ensuring both of them a good start in life! And when my oldest daughter became pregnant, I promptly enrolled in a doula course to ensure her smooth birth!
My approach combines evidence-based birth with holistic approach. I want to make sure that my pregnant mum is as,well prepared for this life changing event as possible: from a physical, mental and emotional side. As a mother of 5 lovely grown children and thank G-d a grandmother of 9 adorable grandchildren, I arrived at a time in my life that I have a lot of Peace of mind, experience and many diverse tools to prepare and serve my birthing client and her birth partner in a very holistic way.
