I am a mother of 5, with 4 home births and 1 hospital birth, bringing both deep professional knowledge and lived experience into my work. I am a Registered Dietitian with 6 years of experience specializing in infertility, pregnancy and the postpartum period as well as disordered eating and eating disorder recovery.

A mother is the true expert of her pregnancy and birth. My role is to offer evidence-based information and a steady presence as you bring your baby into the world. I have a background as a personal trainer and I'm informed in the biomechanics of the birth process to support optimal positioning.

I have been a doula for almost 30 years, and have been teaching a very unique Doula Training in English for the past 8 years. I believe in compassionate, nonjudgmental support for women and couples. I see birth as a Rite of Passage and the doula as a mentor. My course is very body oriented as well as emotionally in depth- it is first of all a journey for you, the student doula, to go deeper within and explore and grow. As you are mentored throughout the year,you yourself become the mentor.

Tamar Zakon, Dipl.CM (IACM), CMT – Doula, Acupuncturist & Integrative Women’s Health Practitioner I am a licensed practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine, certified massage therapist, clinical herbalist, and doula with nearly two decades of experience in holistic health. My specialty lies in women’s health, fertility, and emotional healing, and I provide full-spectrum support throughout the reproductive journey—from preconception to postpartum and beyond. My integrative approach combines acupuncture, Chinese and Western herbal medicine, medical massage, Sobada abdominal and womb therapy, and more. I work holistically to support hormonal balance, digestive health, pain relief, trauma recovery, and overall vitality. Each treatment plan is customized, addressing the physical, emotional, and energetic needs of the individual. I have extensive experience supporting women who are navigating fertility challenges, pregnancy after loss, birth trauma, and complex emotional or medical histories. Shalom, I’m Lea—a doula, childbirth educator, prenatal bodyworker, and B.O.T.-certified practitioner based in Jerusalem. I accompany expecting parents through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with evidence-based guidance and calm, compassionate support in Hebrew, English, and German. I help expecting parents navigate the Israeli maternity system with confidence.
